Some ThoughtsThe ark was one of many holy objects that were part of the tabernacle (a fancy tent). It and the rest of the holy objects were to be treated with extreme reverence and respect. Deadly serious, as described in NUM 4:15, 17-20. Uzza will be reminded of this the hard way when he touches the ark in 2SA 6:6-7 and 1CH 13:9-10. In JOS 3:4 we'll read ordinary people couldn't even come near it.
